Weather is a very important factor in Rob & Dianne's ability to be "available" for lessons. A graph showing our average flyable days per month is below. Wind direction & strength are checked each morning and on occasion the day's classes must be cancelled. As a service to all the existing So Cal pilots, a daily forecast for the flying weather is uploaded daily by 9:00 AM to our FORECAST PAGE.

The most reliable time of year is spring and summer but even in the worst time of year (fall & winter) the weather is better than most of the rest of the country's best time of year. Being located right at the site helps in the accuracy of the weather forecast but additional means of weather forecasting comes from Rob & Dianne checking with the FAA's flight services, downloading the HARVEY report, calling the WINDTALKER, television forecasts and checking some of the many internet weather services as shown at right.
