SHUTTLE INFORMATION

There are 2 options for shuttles to Crestline and Marshall. One is the High Adventure flex schedule as described below. The other is run by Joe, a local pilot and his shuttle service is described at Joe's SHUTTLE PAGE.

The main reason that Rob & Dianne head up to the launch area is to provide either a tandem or solo lesson. If you are a tandem student then the shuttle is included so this page does not pertain to you. But if you are a local or visiting pilot that has their own equipment wishing to get a ride to launch with us, then this page IS for you.

Since our students sometimes ask for last minute changes to the schedule we will not book pilot rides in advance but rather only on the same day you wish to fly. To get into the shuttle, call High Adventure cell @ (909)   3  7  9  -  9  0  9  5   at or after 7:30 AM daily. Most days you will need to leave a short voicemail stating your desire for a shuttle ride, and your callback number. We will let the voicemail collect the calls between 7:30 and 8AM after which we'll return all calls in the order received .

The cost of the ride up is free but we do ask that you consider a $10 suggested donation. The time given for the departure is indeed the time of DEPARTURE. If you are having watch problems you can check the accuracy of your watch by setting it as we depart or setting it here at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It is usually accurate to within a few dozen nanoseconds :)

VIP! The VIP option for prebooking is $20. Yes that means you can call or email days or maybe even weeks in advance for a shuttle ride and the suggested donation is $20 instead of $10. Sometimes you have special plans with friends in from out of town and just can't risk not getting a shuttle ride. This is the best option for those rare special days. Please note that even though you don't need to call at 7:30 sharp to run the chances of getting into the truck, you should call by 9am to find out about other issues such as weather that may cancel the shuttle or for potential slight changes in departure time. We'll do what we can to work with your schedule and not make changes that preclude you from flying.
