4-20-03 Advanced local paraglider pilot on an xc from Marshall encounters turbulence in the area of Keller Peak (12 miles east of Marshall?). Massive malfunction of wing and was too low to sort it out. Reserve tossed. Safe landing about 1500' below the summit of Keller Peak in extremely dense brush. Pilot requested a helicopter rescue. The pilot having a cell phone to call for assistance and also a radio to be able to direct the helicopter to him were key in finding the pilot.
